DJ Gotama started his career as a dj the moment he came into contact with goatrance music in the late nineties. After going to techno parties for years, he was blown away by the variety and richness of this new style of music. It did not take long before he started collecting this kind of music and shortly after start DJing. Playing at friend’s parties all over Belgium, DJ Gotama soon built a solid reputation. He became resident dj of clubs like Kosmic and Tijuana; and later played at many large underground events such as Alice, Amon Horus, Rhakti Dei and so on. In the meantime Dj Gotama started his first organization called ‘Progressive Reaction’ with a friend, and since then organized regular parties in his hometown Gent.
After moving to Beijing, Dj Gotama could not let go of the Goa vibe and started organizing parties under the name of ‘Beijing Underground’ in clubs like White Rabbit, The Boat, China Doll and others. It is his special feeling with the music that Dj Gotama can bring across to the people who seem unable to stop dancing until the doors close; leaving many people to go home with a big fat smile on their face.
